4 Day Stiff BEF-TECT is a live attenuated vaccine for the prophylactic immunization of cattle against bovine ephemeral fever (also known as 3-day stiff-sickness), a viral disease transmitted by biting insects causing fever, stiffness, lameness, and production losses. It induces immunity in susceptible animals, with protection developing approximately 10 days post-vaccination and lasting up to 1 year. Administered subcutaneously (typically in a two-dose primary series with annual boosters) for dairy, beef, and breeding herds in endemic areas.
